Tweetnote Address? Conference tweet-chats? Who would have thought we’d be conducting conferences via Twitter? But that’s exactly what will happen on Tuesday, July 19th, from 9:00am-3:15pm (Pacific) when The American Jobs Conference takes place.
Sponsored by TweetMyJobs, the conference will kick off with a “tweet-note” (aka keynote) from 2012 Presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty. Subsequent sessions will feature:
- Lou Kerner, Managing Director of the Private Shares Group at Wedbush Securities, the first social media analyst on Wall Street
- Mark Suster, a partner at GRP Partners who was recently rated as the second most respected venture capitalist in The U.S.
- Dan Schawbel, personal branding expert and Managing Partner of Millennial Branding, named by BusinessWeek as one of the Top 20 people to follow on Twitter
- Jessica Miller-Merrell, a leader in the Human Resources social media community and owner of Xceptional HR
- Michael “Dr. Woody” Woodward, PhD, author of The YOU Plan and Fox Business columnist, a certified professional coach trained in organizational psychology
- and myself! -> Susan Whitcomb, the founder and CEO of The Academies, Inc. and an award-winning author of 7 books including The Twitter Job Search Guide
The conference is free to jobseekers (recruiters, career coaches, and others also welcome!), with registration at http://conference.tweetmyjobs.com/ — after registering, you can vote to help shape conference topics. The hashtag for the event is #jobs4US
